Welcome to Hebron Hostel (formerly known as Tabasco)

In the heart of the Old City, just a few walking minutes away from important sites like Church of the Holy Sepulchre and Temple Mount, and the Western Wall.

Inside, the hostel has kept it’s old arcitectual shape, dating back to the Mameluke period 1260 to 1516 A.D

Ground floor/Tea Room – Tea, Coffee, Argyle (Sheeshe/Hooka), and Food is available.
We have an assortment of fresh juices depending on the season.
Computers with Internet access, or the use of free WiFi wile enjoying a cup of coffee.

2nd floor: Reception, Dormitories, bathroom, showers, Common room, and lockers, with WiFi hot spots.

3rd floor: Roof terrace, and Private Rooms.

Location:

Located right in the middle of the Old City. A minute away from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and five minutes walk away from Via Dolorosa, Dome of the Rock, Al-Aqsa mosque and the Western Wall.

The second you walk out of our doors, you’ll find you’re self standing in the middle of the bustling Souk Khan el Zeit which starts at Damascus Gate, joins with the Via Dolorosa, and continues towards the Souk El Attarine. From there, you’re only a few minutes away from Jaffa Gate.

Walking distance to Mt. of Olives and the City of David.

How to find us:

From Damascus Gate:

Enter the Old City, continue down the path until you reach a fork in the road, turn right and continue straight on your path. You will eventually pass Via Dolorosa 7th Station, in a few meters turn on the left intersection after the Station (you should be able to see our sign over the intersection greeting you.) within a few steps, you will find yourself at our front door.

From Jaffa Gate:

After Entering Jaffa Gate, continue forward until you reach David Street (pedestrian path), keep going down your path until you reach the end of the street. There you will find the entrances for Souk El Lahamin, Souk El Attarin, and Souk El khawajat. Enter through the middle one, Souk El Attarin. Continue straight passed the end of the Souk, and into the Via Dolorosa/Souk Khan El Zeit. You will find our sign greeting you, turn right, and you will find our front door within a few steps.

Important notes:

Check out before 11:00.

Passports are required at check-in.

Reception Hours are from 6:00 A.M. to 1:00 A.M.

The doors close at 01:00 a.m., but alternative arrangements can be made.

No eating or smoking in the rooms, shared refrigerator in common room.

Refer to reception for laundry services.
